Hi Andy
We arrived back safely on Thursday although Anne was somewhat traumatised by my occasional drifting towards the crown of the road as I struggled to find my way round the gear box! The Florida certainly gave a comfortable ride and being able to see through the rear window was welcome bonus.
We were both absolutely delighted with the condition of the van thanks to the efforts of your back room team. We were very fortunate to have visited you when we did, especially as you had just returned from Germany with the Florida complete with personal number plates, and that the Nugget had been sold. Anne knew instinctively that the Florida was exactly what our daughter and family needed.
When we arrived home we were desperate to see Rebecca and Giles reaction. We invited them round for a drink and gave them the keys. They couldn't believe their eyes or their good fortune. It was love at first sight for both of them. Their planned camping holiday in France took on a whole new meaning and Giles has a new ambition :-)to follow the Tour de France!
II'm sure the Florida will enable them to share many happy holidays together.

A quick note to thank you for your camper efforts on my behalf. The Florida was great but in the end was not what I needed, so being able to sell back via your self or if necessary back to you took away all the stress. The Westfalia Multivan Syncro you found and supplied is great and your Direct Source service is a very reasonable way of buying a van in Germany .

Hi Andy,
Happy new year to you as well.
We are still using and enjoying the 2.1 auto T3 California we bought from you. In fact it is now my every day vehicle and is used for everything from taking the kids to school to picking up wardrobes from IKEA. We had it converted to LPG soon after buying it which obviously makes quite a difference to the running costs. We put the tank in the usual place inside the rear “wardrobe” but haven’t really missed the space we lost.
Mechanically the only problems I have had with it were a “no starting” problem which turned out to be an electrical fault where a connecter in the engine bay had become corroded (easy fix thank goodness) and, just last week, the starter motor gave up the ghost. A reconditioned one was fitted which means starting sounds much healthier these days. That’s it, other than those two it’s been perfectly reliable – not bad for a 20 year old.
We are just starting to plan our trips for this year which we hope will include going abroad for the first time.

Hi Andy,
Good to hear from you, but at present I have no plans
to even consider selling the VW because it plays such
a big role in our holidays and my children love 'Daisy'!
Just for your information,the camper has been superb
over the last few years, we spend a lot of time in France
and Spain in the summer months..... It had no problem
crossing the pyrenees last summer and we were on just
about the steepest route and boy was it exciting at times!
If I do ever consider upgrading etc, I'll be in touch.

I bought a T25 from you about 4 years ago. It has since been all over europe including Austria, Italy and Slovinia last year. I have now done over 20,000 miles. Really pleased with the van, thanks for your help finding her.
Just one question. The deisel heater is really intermitant, do you know anyone who can service or repair them. Alternatively are they available new or used?

Driving a left hand drive vehicle can be daunting at first, but in next
to no time it feels as natural as right hand drive vehicle, and you'll
soon be swapping between LHD & RHD in no time. Plus driving the van in
Europe is a breeze.

I came across "campervans4u.com" web site during 2005 while researching the best place to buy and sell a campervan required for our 6 month trip around Europe, 2006. Being on the other side of the world makes this sort of transaction a little more difficult than normal. I contacted them late 2005 to discuss our requirements, timing, cost etc.
I am delighted to say it was the best move I could have made.
Doing business with Andy and Lisa was a pleasure. I quickly gained confidence and trust in their ability to deliver what we required to the extent that I sent full payment for the van some weeks prior to leaving New Zealand (photos and detailed description provided by Andy, and conditional on final inspection of course)
On arrival everything was just as negotiated, customer service was excellent, the van as described and Andy and Lisa charming.
On completion of our trip in September 2006, we left our van in Andy's care and returned to NZ. The van sold some time later and the money transferred to us in NZ.
I have no hesitation in recommending "campervan4u" to any persons thinking about acquiring a campervan for future use. Indeed, when we return for our next trip to Europe (maybe 2009), Andy and Lisa will be the first people we call.

Hi Andy,
T25 Atlantic is running superbly after the engine rebuild. Changed the oil/filter after 500miles as instructed and it has since been round Cornwall without any problems.
Did some photos and an interview with Volksworld Camper and Bus mag at the Volksworld show in March. Gave you a name check and commented on your superb customer service.
Can you send me the paperwork for the engine rebuild please for my records.
I would still like to change to ISRI seats at the front and wondered if you had any in stock for me to look at. If you have some please let me know what would be the best Saturday or Sunday for you. A couple of available weekends would be good.

We have just been for our first camping trip in the van you supplied us
(9 weeks ago now), and thought you might appreciate some 'feedback'.
We have just been off to the Lake District for 3 days - we picked
probably the coldest week for the last month, but the days were bright,
and we have been testing the Ebersbacher heater in the evenings. It
worked very well - even with the pop-top up, and outside temperature of
3deg.C, we were warm.
The van ran very well all the time, and feels very solid. The Westfalia
fittings and equipment all work well, and feel reliable: everything
seems to be designed to be, more-or-less, in the right place! For
summer use we think it will be worthwhile to get one of those Fiamma
roll-out awnings you suggested.
So ... thank you for selling us a great camper. Even though we are all
the way up here in North Yorkshire, the purchase did not seem
difficult, and it was a pleasure to meet you and Lisa.
We intend to go off to the continent for a couple of weeks this summer
- if this confirms our liking of campervanning, we may well be coming
back to you next autumn for an upgrade - on the other hand, we might
just get very attached to this particular van!

The van has been fantastic, the fuel economy one of the most impressive features. The lay out for ourselves and the girls has been great as well. The van has been terrific for getting into those small places in the little villages as well. All in all it has been just one fantastic experience made better by having a reliable van.

We bought a VW 1.6T Diesel Westfalia hightop from you nearly two years ago. Wonderful van, no problem bar one little one you may be able to help with.
We are now resident in France, in fact we left UK the wee after we bought the van. The LPG tank was nicely full and as we have not done too much cooking, lots of cups of tea though, we haven't needed to fill up the LPG tank. However, now when we come to try there are different fittings on the pumps over here. Our van has the fitting as shown in the attached pictures. I presume there must be an adapter to fit this fitting. Can you supply or point us in the right direction? We'll be coming back to UK, staying in and around Harlow for a week in the middle of November, this time without the van, so we could pick it up if you can get one!
Any help appreciated.

The weekend after we collected our T25 Westfalia California van from you we went up to the Norfolk coast, and last week we travelled down to South Devon for the week. We wanted to let you know how delighted we are with the van. It is in such brilliant condition and it runs really smoothly, happily cruising at 70 mph. I can't fault Westfalia for their design as everything seems to be really accessible and well planned, which I think is quite amazing. We have been so pleased with the service that you gave us, that we have recommended you to Bill's brother in law who is likely to be buying a similar van from you in the future.

Van's doing brilliant.Had a few worries initially with the main battery not starting and buying a new one,which turned out to be faulty,but sorted with another one.Running beautifully now.Very pleased.
Had lots of nights out with Reen and four kids in freezing,rainy weather and we all found it really roomy and comfortable.Everthing working great.

Thank you for your e-mail. So pleased and relieved to hear you are safely back from Vietnam.
Over Christmas it was very cold here but as I told Lisa we did use the holiday to visit friends and relations around the country in the Fiat and slept in it very cosily. The blown air heating was exellent! Indeed we found everything about the van exellent and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
We are so grateful to you (and to Lisa) for your time, advice and assistance enabling us to view the van and reach an unpressured decision, your efforts in getting the van prepared and keeping us informed of progress, and when ready being so helpful enabling us to collect it.

I bought a 1990 Atlantic poptop from you a couple of years ago. I was
wandering if you could provide the names of companies who can service the
camping elements of the van ie the fridge, heating system and gas
tanks/cooker.
By the way, the van is running beautifully and it was one of our best
decisions to buy it.

well, the week started off badly, wasn't feeling to good when we came up to pick the van up, it got worse but we set off on saturday
the van went like a dream, we made the usual mistakes
i said to yvonne that we needed a small microwave, she got a big'un and when we switched it on it blew the fuse
so back to cooking on the stove
all in all, thoroughly enjoyable
i think that part of me would still have preferred the atlantic hi-top( if you get one, let me know)
but this one, i "t" cutted it, polished it and it looks and runs superb
if anybody asks me where it came from, you might be getting a few phone calls

Back to work for us unfortunately! I also wanted to ask you a few questions about your business and what it was like getting started etc. The reason being I've got itchy feet and importing vans was something I thought of doing a few years back when we were looking for a van, but never followed up. I realise there are more people doing it now but it is always an idea I seem to come back to, so this time I'm going to do some research and see if it is a realistic possiblity.
