Hi Andy, just to say thanks for all your help with our resent purchase of the Exclusive, so far we have had three weeks away and one week at home ! now planning a trip to Dorset next week, its given use a means to get out and about and se so much of the country have also taken the grandchildren away for 4 days and survived.
Take care Andy, John & Gaynor Clarke
That's great, monies received as said thank you. Thanks also for forwarding on the note from the new owner, good to know he's pleased with it. It will serve him well I'm sure.
Pleasure doing business with you again. Will recommend you to others at any opportunity as always, and may well be in touch in the future.
With best regards
We just wanted to thank you for all your help on Friday night, firstly it was kind of you to stay around and wait for us to arrive, then offer the workshop and tools etc. to keep our own van in shape for the return journey to West Cumbria.
Unfortunately the crank damper pulley let go on the M6(on my old T4) and I had to hand the Westfalia freestyle we purchased from you over to my son to complete its trip to a good home.....
You ended a long tedious search for the right Westy Andy – not only did you have the right van for us you had the right attitude, hospitality, and approach, ‘O’ and you make a good cuppa.
No hard sales banter just good honest help and space for us to browse at our leisure. All in all a comfortable experience.
May we take this opportunity to wish you and your business every success, we would have no hesitation dealing with you in future years, although I cant see myself letting you have this one back!
John and Christine Gibson
Dear Potential Customer,
On the premiss that a business is only as good as its last sale, as a two times customer I have no reservations about recommending Andy at Campervans4u.
I first delt with Andy in May of 2010 when I was looking to sell my T4 Westfalia pop-top. Having considered the various options for trading up to a newer van and viewing the various testomonials on the website I decided to entrust Andy with the sale of my campevan. Andy kept me informed of all the viewers and offers and after 4 weeks the van was sold. Payment was swift and efficient. I was only sorry Andy was not able to source a newer campervan in the short timescale that I had for replacement.
After 2 years with a newer Westfalia T4 pop-top I had the funds to upgrade a second time. Weighing up the options Andy's commission was by far the most reasonable so again Andy handled the sale of my campervan. Once more I was kept well informed about all the potential customers and after a few weeks its sale was agreed and the funds transfered quickly and efficiently.
I now have a T5 California, and whilst it is a great van the build quality and robustness does not match that of Westfalia.
I want to thank Andy for the efficient way he handled both van sales and wish him and his family continued and well deserved success with Campervans4u and the Westfalia brand.
Just wanted to say that I really appreciate your help with both the original sourcing and more recently the slightly teary sale of my fantastic Westfalia campervan.
The whole process was effortless and handled perfectly by you which left me to concentrate on camping holidays with the family.
A big thanks to you for a fantastic service.
PS the money is in my account now.
I just wanted to say a very big thank you for handling the sale of my Nugget so well. Throughout the whole process I always felt in touch with what was going on, thanks to your frequent emails and updates. That reassurance for me was really important as I was so far away.
Many thanks indeed. I wish you and your business continued success, you deserve it.

I hope that you are well. I imagine that you are probably quite busy at the moment.
I had meant to e-mail sooner as I haven't forgotten about getting the registration off of you at some point. Time flies though and it surprises me, somewhat, that i have been on the road almost two and half months now. I tend not to have too much of a plan while travelling and so have no definite place that i will be at in order for you to send me the registration. I will inform you if I ever know that i will be in a set location for awhile. I am planning to meet some friends in France sometime around July 1st. and i think that they could pass it on to me if you wanted to send it to them in Holland.
Any ways, just thought that i should keep in touch. The van has been very good and am pleased. I have to get some regular maintenance done fairly soon, but that is understandable. I am in Sardinia at the moment and have been travelling around here for about two weeks now (this is the first internet that i have had here). I should be in Corsica in a cpl of days and then back into France in a week or two.
Getting consistent wifi has been a bit of a problem and so being online is a bit hit-and-miss unfortunately. Let me know if the registration is a problem and if so, i can make sure to get it off of you either by making sure that i am at a certain campsite or through passing on my friend in Holland's address.
Take care, Steve Currie
Thank you for your prompt and efficient service.
I cannot fault the manner in which you have dealt with the transaction.
I heartily recommend your services to anyone that may need them and should the need arise I will certainly be in touch again.
We arrived back safely on Thursday although Anne was somewhat traumatised by my occasional drifting towards the crown of the road as I struggled to find my way round the gear box! The Florida certainly gave a comfortable ride and being able to see through the rear window was welcome bonus.
We were both absolutely delighted with the condition of the van thanks to the efforts of your back room team. We were very fortunate to have visited you when we did, especially as you had just returned from Germany with the Florida complete with personal number plates, and that the Nugget had been sold. Anne knew instinctively that the Florida was exactly what our daughter and family needed.
When we arrived home we were desperate to see Rebecca and Giles reaction. We invited them round for a drink and gave them the keys. They couldn't believe their eyes or their good fortune. It was love at first sight for both of them. Their planned camping holiday in France took on a whole new meaning and Giles has a new ambition :-)to follow the Tour de France!
II'm sure the Florida will enable them to share many happy holidays together.
Thank you once again,Andy, for all your efforts on our behalf which are much appreciated by us all.
Nicholas and Anne.
PS I trust Anne did a good job with your next customers
A quick note to thank you for your camper efforts on my behalf. The Florida was great but in the end was not what I needed, so being able to sell back via your self or if necessary back to you took away all the stress. The Westfalia Multivan Syncro you found and supplied is great and your Direct Source service is a very reasonable way of buying a van in Germany .
So many thanks, I know where to come both to buy and sell quality Westfalia Campers.
Happy new year to you as well.
We are still using and enjoying the 2.1 auto T3 California we bought from you. In fact it is now my every day vehicle and is used for everything from taking the kids to school to picking up wardrobes from IKEA. We had it converted to LPG soon after buying it which obviously makes quite a difference to the running costs. We put the tank in the usual place inside the rear “wardrobe” but haven’t really missed the space we lost.
Mechanically the only problems I have had with it were a “no starting” problem which turned out to be an electrical fault where a connecter in the engine bay had become corroded (easy fix thank goodness) and, just last week, the starter motor gave up the ghost. A reconditioned one was fitted which means starting sounds much healthier these days. That’s it, other than those two it’s been perfectly reliable – not bad for a 20 year old.
We are just starting to plan our trips for this year which we hope will include going abroad for the first time.
Best of luck with your business in these tough times. I hope the credit crunch doesn’t affect you too much.
Richard Naylor and family, Harrogate
Good to hear from you, but at present I have no plans
to even consider selling the VW because it plays such
a big role in our holidays and my children love 'Daisy'!
Just for your information, the camper has been superb
over the last few years, we spend a lot of time in France
and Spain in the summer months..... It had no problem
crossing the pyrenees last summer and we were on just
about the steepest route and boy was it exciting at times!
If I do ever consider upgrading etc, I'll be in touch.
Hope the family are well,
Good to see you are doing well.
I bought a T25 from you about 4 years ago. It has since been all over europe including Austria, Italy and Slovinia last year. I have now done over 20,000 miles. Really pleased with the van, thanks for your help finding her.
Just one question. The deisel heater is really intermitant, do you know anyone who can service or repair them. Alternatively are they available new or used?
Cheers for now
Top man :) So hows things with you, family well I hope! We love our bus, slept in it last night after a welcome home party :) Oh, do you have any suggestions for a hightop van cover as the van is getting mucky in this weather :(
Anyone that asks about our bus we always recommend you, so hopefully some more work may come your way :)
Driving a left hand drive vehicle can be daunting at first, but in next to no time it feels as natural as right hand drive vehicle, and you'll soon be swapping between LHD & RHD in no time. Plus driving the van in Europe is a breeze.
I'd like to thank Andy for sourcing his first VW California for us, and would recommend his services to interested parties
" I would like to thank Andy and Lisa for making our first step into the world of Westfalia a very comfortable one!. We started looking at Californias over a year ago and after months of looking around we found the website, got in touch and managed to get the Westfalia we wanted. We found these guys really friendly and helpful. Following the purchase we had a minor issue with the van, i contacted Andy and it was sorted out straight away........even though this was not included in the warranty it was dealt with superbly and was hassle free... would you get that down your local garage?. Anyway we are 6 months down the line and have spent many many nights away in the bus with our two children and absolutely love her. I would highly recommend campervans4u to anyone and i have done so on several occasions. Thanks again J & L Avery"
To whom it may concern:
I came across "campervans4u.com" web site during 2005 while researching the best place to buy and sell a campervan required for our 6 month trip around Europe, 2006. Being on the other side of the world makes this sort of transaction a little more difficult than normal. I contacted them late 2005 to discuss our requirements, timing, cost etc.
I am delighted to say it was the best move I could have made.
Doing business with Andy and Lisa was a pleasure. I quickly gained confidence and trust in their ability to deliver what we required to the extent that I sent full payment for the van some weeks prior to leaving New Zealand (photos and detailed description provided by Andy, and conditional on final inspection of course)
On arrival everything was just as negotiated, customer service was excellent, the van as described and Andy and Lisa charming.
On completion of our trip in September 2006, we left our van in Andy's care and returned to NZ. The van sold some time later and the money transferred to us in NZ.
I have no hesitation in recommending "campervan4u" to any persons thinking about acquiring a campervan for future use. Indeed, when we return for our next trip to Europe (maybe 2009), Andy and Lisa will be the first people we call.
Thankyou Andy and Lisa and all the very best for the future
T25 Atlantic is running superbly after the engine rebuild. Changed the oil/filter after 500miles as instructed and it has since been round Cornwall without any problems.
Did some photos and an interview with Volksworld Camper and Bus mag at the Volksworld show in March. Gave you a name check and commented on your superb customer service.
Can you send me the paperwork for the engine rebuild please for my records.
I would still like to change to ISRI seats at the front and wondered if you had any in stock for me to look at. If you have some please let me know what would be the best Saturday or Sunday for you. A couple of available weekends would be good.
Best regards, Philip.
We have just been for our first camping trip in the van you supplied us (9 weeks ago now), and thought you might appreciate some 'feedback'.
We have just been off to the Lake District for 3 days - we picked probably the coldest week for the last month, but the days were bright, and we have been testing the Ebersbacher heater in the evenings. It worked very well - even with the pop-top up, and outside temperature of 3deg.C, we were warm.
The van ran very well all the time, and feels very solid. The Westfalia fittings and equipment all work well, and feel reliable: everything seems to be designed to be, more-or-less, in the right place! For summer use we think it will be worthwhile to get one of those Fiamma roll-out awnings you suggested.
So ... thank you for selling us a great camper. Even though we are all the way up here in North Yorkshire, the purchase did not seem difficult, and it was a pleasure to meet you and Lisa.
We intend to go off to the continent for a couple of weeks this summer - if this confirms our liking of campervanning, we may well be coming back to you next autumn for an upgrade - on the other hand, we might just get very attached to this particular van!
Regards, Andy Pickering
I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how pleased my family
and I have been with the t25 California we bought from you about 14 months ago.
Last year we had a month in France touring - 2 adults and to children, a fantastic adventure and the camper performed superbly throughout. A quality item.
Hope Lisa and Family are ok,
re Ford Westfalia Nuggett
The van has been fantastic, the fuel economy one of the most impressive features. The lay out for ourselves and the girls has been great as well. The van has been terrific for getting into those small places in the little villages as well. All in all it has been just one fantastic experience made better by having a reliable van.
You are free to put this van on your website as soon as you want to and we are happy to recommend it for you.
Bye for now and we wilol ring about the 14th September. We are heading up to Scotland and and as I said we will be back around the 23rd.
Hope your holiday in Italy was good.
Mark and Debbie Cairns
We bought a VW 1.6T Diesel Westfalia hightop from you nearly two years ago. Wonderful van, no problem bar one little one you may be able to help with.
We are now resident in France, in fact we left UK the wee after we bought the van. The LPG tank was nicely full and as we have not done too much cooking, lots of cups of tea though, we haven't needed to fill up the LPG tank. However, now when we come to try there are different fittings on the pumps over here. Our van has the fitting as shown in the attached pictures. I presume there must be an adapter to fit this fitting. Can you supply or point us in the right direction? We'll be coming back to UK, staying in and around Harlow for a week in the middle of November, this time without the van, so we could pick it up if you can get one!
Any help appreciated.
Hi Andy and Lisa,
The weekend after we collected our T25 Westfalia California van from you we went up to the Norfolk coast, and last week we travelled down to South Devon for the week. We wanted to let you know how delighted we are with the van. It is in such brilliant condition and it runs really smoothly, happily cruising at 70 mph. I can't fault Westfalia for their design as everything seems to be really accessible and well planned, which I think is quite amazing. We have been so pleased with the service that you gave us, that we have recommended you to Bill's brother in law who is likely to be buying a similar van from you in the future.
Happy for you to post this on your website!
Bill and Lisa
Andy/Lisa, > > If you want to give out my name/email to any prospective purchasers > looking for a reference (Product Quality | Customer Service | Integrity > in the 2nd hand vehicle market etc.) I'd be more than happy to oblige. > > Thanks again, > Dave.
Will send pictures tomorrow,
Van's doing brilliant.Had a few worries initially with the main battery not starting and buying a new one, which turned out to be faulty, but sorted with another one.Running beautifully now.Very pleased.
Had lots of nights out with Reen and four kids in freezing, rainy weather and we all found it really roomy and comfortable.Everthing working great.
Been meaning to write you some feedback for a while to say thanks for your friendly, professional help in sorting everything out and superb van exactly as sold.
Friends are amazed by the quality and newness of it and you're recommended wherever we go.
Thanks again and all the best to you all for the future,
Paul and Reen
Dear Andy, I just wanted to write and let you know what a pleasure it has been doing business with you. From the outset you have been extremely professional and helpful in guiding this overseas customer. Buying a car in the UK from California entailed a certain amount of risk, but very quickly you made the experience rosy. The VW Westfalia has been fantastic, bringing us all the way from England to Turkey and back. What an adventure! I can't wait to hit the road again. I will be recommending you to all my fellow adventurers. Until next year?
Dear Andy and Lisa,
We made it back to Greece without any problems and managed to do a bit of camping en route which we thoroughly enjoyed. We're really delighted with "Rosy"!
We have been checking your website regularly as the news coming out of Thailand was so terrible but as it has now been updated we are assuming that you are both OK. We do hope you were nowhere near where it all happened as it must have been a terrifying experience.
Hope we can do business with you again in the future.
All the best
Sue and Paul
Andy – have looked on the website this morning but can’t see a feedback section yet. Have I missed it or is it about to be added? Let me know and I will be very happy to add some positive feedback for you! We are still undecided about possible sale of our one, especially as the end of winter seems close and the chance of a weekend away in it looks attractive. Will be in touch on that!
Thank you for your e-mail. So pleased and relieved to hear you are safely back from Vietnam.
Over Christmas it was very cold here but as I told Lisa we did use the holiday to visit friends and relations around the country in the Fiat and slept in it very cosily. The blown air heating was exellent! Indeed we found everything about the van exellent and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
We are so grateful to you (and to Lisa) for your time, advice and assistance enabling us to view the van and reach an unpressured decision, your efforts in getting the van prepared and keeping us informed of progress, and when ready being so helpful enabling us to collect it.
We cannot wait for the summer to make full use of our campervan. Thank you both again.
With Best Wishes
Richard & Mandy Oliver
Quick email to say that I enjoyed the drive back to Bristol in the Dehler which has now been enthusiastically admired by the family. Thanks for a good deal and I have left positive feedback on ebay. Please email me details of the Dehler website when you can. Thanks and all best wishes for your business.
hope all is going well for both of you and thebusiness is going full steam ahead. We have just bought a new computer and now have the internet at home. Will gladly add comments to your website if I had the address. Please send it!! You made the trip much easier for us than it otherwise would have been. Hope you had no trouble selling the VW. Hope to keep in touch as we will certainly get back to the mother country. Tip for the Ashes series: australia 3 england 0. others washed out. cheers mate
I bought a 1990 Atlantic poptop from you a couple of years ago. I was wandering if you could provide the names of companies who can service the camping elements of the van ie the fridge, heating system and gas tanks/cooker.
By the way, the van is running beautifully and it was one of our best decisions to buy it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
WOW what can I say excellent couple of days, My Lisa is well pleased with the van she also asks lets us know when your Lisa drops!!! Did you say it’s a girl? And she sends her thanks and regards to your Lisa
well, the week started off badly, wasn't feeling to good when we came up to pick the van up, it got worse but we set off on saturday
the van went like a dream, we made the usual mistakes
i said to yvonne that we needed a small microwave, she got a big'un and when we switched it on it blew the fuse
so back to cooking on the stove
all in all, thoroughly enjoyable
i think that part of me would still have preferred the atlantic hi-top( if you get one, let me know)
but this one, i "t" cutted it, polished it and it looks and runs superb
if anybody asks me where it came from, you might be getting a few phone calls
thanks a lot
Dear Andy and Lisa, Thankyou very much for all u have done for me it is very much appreciated and i know it has not been as easy as we all expected, thank u Andy for all your hard work; I would like to wish u all the best for your future. Nicky
Hello Andy & Lisa +?,
Hope you are well. We've just come back from France. Went off in van camping for a bit which was great. I was wondering if everything was okay and whether it was bump or baby?
Back to work for us unfortunately! I also wanted to ask you a few questions about your business and what it was like getting started etc. The reason being I've got itchy feet and importing vans was something I thought of doing a few years back when we were looking for a van, but never followed up. I realise there are more people doing it now but it is always an idea I seem to come back to, so this time I'm going to do some research and see if it is a realistic possiblity.
I like the way you run your business so I hope you don't mind me asking. I quite understand if you don't want to discuss it with me. No problem. If you do then let me know.
Hope all is well.

Hi Andy and Lisa,
Just a quick note to thank you for great service, all registration stuff sorted out now, van with UK plates etc. When u have feedback section on your website, give me a shout and I would be glad to contribute.
All the best,
Our business survives on 3rd part recommendations, we do very little advertising which in turn enables us to keep our van costs to a minimum, typical emails we receive:
I have been referred to you by Juliet Barker (she lives in my house)who is very pleased with her purchase of a Diesel Transit Nugget. I would be interested in a similar vehicle for collection in mid May. I return to UK from the Caribbean in early May so email contact only for the moment although I am sure Juliet could take & pass on messages. Regards, Simon
Hi Andy Tim from Herne Bay gave me your websit - hopeully you get this as there's no email ddress on it!
We want to buy a VW camper for use from end of April until mid September. Also want to take advantage of your buy back scheme option 1.
Would send details of how we can purchase from you prior to our arrival in UK.
Price range - around 7000 pounds - diesel preferred.
This is the first time I have contacted you. I have been recommended your business by a good friend who bought a camper from you about 18 months ago – Keith Stubbs of Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Hi we are planning on coming to England in early August and would like to buy a campervan and then sell it when we leave about the end of October. Friends Howard & Beryl Rolands recommended you. We could not access the web site campers4u.com Do you have a web site? Regards Pam & Allan
